Carolyn Bazemore Loper, 88, of Savannah, died Saturday, Aug 13, 2016 at Candler Hospital.
She was born in Effingham County, Ga., and was preceded in death by her parents, Edward D. Bazemore and Pearl Barner Bazemore. She had lived in Savannah, Ga since 1945.She was a very active member of the former Riverside Baptist Church, where she was a member of the Women's Missionary Union, served as a Sunday School Teacher since 1974, was active in Children's Church, and was active on the Bereavement Committee, always helping to prepare food for the bereaved families at the church.
She was Owner/Beautician at Carolyn's Beauty Shop, until she retired.
She is survived by her husband, Hollis Clinton Loper, Savannah, Ga; daughter, Linda Loper Morris, Athens, Ga; 2 sons, Russel Loper, Ellijay, GA, and Michael Loper, Savannah, Ga; 3 brothers, Terrell Bazemore, Meldrim, Ga; Carey Bazemore and Jimmy Bazemore, of Columbia, S.C., 5 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.
Visitation: 6 - 8 p.m. Tuesday, August 16 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, August 17 in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Perry Bazemore, officiating.
Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
