Carol F. Brown

Mrs. Brown was born Martha Carol Fields on October 16, 1944 to George and Margaret Fields in Tennille, Ga. She was proceeded in death by her parents and older sister Charlotte (Riddleville, Ga.).

She leaves behind her loving husband of 56 years CO Brown (Savannah, Ga.), sons Barry (and Shannon) Brown of Dacula, Ga. and Jeff Brown (Richmond Hill, Ga.). Five grandchildren Emily, William, and Matthew Brown of Dacula, and Cassidy and Madison Brown of Savannah, Ga. Sister Ellen Kramer (Dale) of Vidalia, Ga.

Mrs. Brown will be most remembered for her years working at Calvary Day School and attending Calvary Baptist Temple. Working in the school office and later as the athletics secretary allowed her to follow and participate all school sports, she dearly loved. In the 1994 Calvary Yearbook dedicated to her, it said “if there is a ball bounced or thrown at Calvary, Mrs. Brown would be there”.

A funeral will be held at Calvary Baptist Temple on Thursday, February 25 at noon. Visitation will precede at the church at 11am. All friends are welcome to come and celebrate this lovely lady. Social Distancing will be adhered, please wear a mask. The family ask, in lieu of flowers, a honorarium be given to the Calvary Baptist Day School Athletic Department.
