Carl S. Quinn, 82, of Savannah, GA, passed away July 15, 2021 at Hospice Savannah.
He was born in Savannah, GA to the late Geneva Jordan Quinn and Aubrey Quinn on November 8, 1938.
Carl was a Chemical Plant Operator for many years at Arcadia in Savannah. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, most especially to Paris, France and Las Vegas, Nevada. He never failed to take a trip to Vegas every year beginning in 1972, and married the love of his life, Paulette Osborne, there in 1990. He was also an avid sports fan.
As the quintessential southern gentleman Carl was charming and an engaging conversationalist. He managed to be one of the few people that telemarketers would hang up on. An immediate fan of the Bond franchise he never missed the opening of a new presentation and actually could boast seeing the London showing of The World is Not Enough where he watched scenes that earlier in the day he had toured.
With his marriage to Paulette he learned to enjoy life with cats and over nearly 32 years shared his home with four felines, a favorite being a rescue named Hannah.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his wife of nearly 32 years, Paulette; son, Kevin Quinn (Janice); daughters, Shelia Koncul (Michael) and Gina Ennis (Danny); brother, Alfred Quinn (Jerry); sisters, Mary Ann Allen (Jimmy), Judy Davis (Ken), and Martha Woods; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
A visitation will be held Sunday August 15, 2021 from 3-5PM at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hodgson Memorial Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive Savannah, GA 31406
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Mr. Quinn’s honor to Hospice Savannah 1352 Eisenhower Drive Savannah, GA 31406.
