Caramel Westberry French, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at the age of 86 at Hospice Savannah, Inc with her family around her.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Clara Lynch; father, Frank R. Westberry; one son, Quintin French and a sister, Margaret D. Fountain.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Luther Kyle French; one son, Elliott French (Sharon) of Guyton, GA; a granddaughter, Mallory F. Simons (Mason) of Pembroke, GA; a grandson, Jason E. French (Amber) of Dallas, GA; three brothers, Norman Westberry of Muldrow, OK, Ray Westberry (Anita) of Lehigh Acres, FL, Richard Westberry (Patty) of Tampa, FL; one great granddaughter, Tatum Lee Simons; several nieces and nephews.
She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City where she was a member of the Lydian Sunday School Class and taught Sunday School for several years and worked on many committees. She loved working with the Golden Seniors of the Church. She was a graduate of Commercial High School of 1951 after graduating she worked for Southern Bell and went on the raise two sons and later retired from Belk's China Department after 13 years.
A gathering for family and friends will be held Monday, April 2, 2018 from 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at the Funeral Home.
Funeral Service will be 11:00 am Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at the Funeral Home Chapel.
Burial will follow the service at Hillcrest Abbey West Cemetery.
