Candice Elizabeth Mitchell 22.

Entered eternal peace April 28, 2017, after a long struggle with mental illness. She was born December 20, 1994 in Savannah but lived in Rincon. She Attended Effingham County Public Schools and graduated from South Effingham High School with honors in 2013. She later attended Savannah Technical College and Georgia Southern University.

She loved all things musical and was extremely talented.  She played the piano, acoustic guitar, electric guitar, the bass guitar, a 1900's four string guitar, theukulele and often would play her friends drums. She wrote poetry and composed songs and lyrics. When she was younger she enjoyed taking ballet, tap, jazz and hip-hop dance lessons. As she got oldershe studied and practiced kickboxing and was a black belt in Tae Kwon Do.  She loved animals of all types and was always surrounded by her many cats, dogs. She would have even owned a snake if her stepmother wasn't so afraid of them. Candice worked for many years at The Sweet Shop in Garden City, as a baker's assistant, and at Tomo's Japanese Restaurantin Rincon as a server. She loved the folks she worked with, they were an extension of her family.

Candice leaves behind many broken hearted people who would love the chance to tell her once again, how beautiful, intelligent, and funny she was, but most of all, how much they loved her.

Candice was born to Joel M. Mitchell and Peggy Cook Weeks. She is survived by her stepmother Deirdre Kathleen (Kathy) Mccranie Mitchell of Rincon, her stepfather Calvin Weeks of Port Wentworth, Ga.  Her paternal grandmother Carol Ann Mitchell of Rincon, brothers; Sean Kevin McCranie (Susan) of Savannah,Ian Patrick McCranie (Sarah) Of Yelm, Washington.Sisters; Christine Cook McBroom (Rob) of Carmel, Indiana and Cat Cook Dixon (Colin) of Las VegasNevada. Aunts; Alison Mitchell Alverez (Adrian) of Honolulu Hawaii with whom Candice was extremely close to, Nancy Mauro (Peter) of Marshfield, Massachusetts, Carol Camp (Charlie) of South Hadley Massachusetts and Uncle Floyd Marsden (Della) of Ft. Myers, Floridaand a large extended family. She was proceeded in death by her grandparents; Thomas Mitchell of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, Edna and Floyd Marsden of New Bedford Massachusetts and Dennis Franklin McCranie Jr.and Bonnie Samples McCranie of Savannah.

Services will be private, In lieu of flowers please make donations to: American Foundation For Suicide Prevention or Brain and Behavior Research Foundation.
