Calvin "Roy" Stevens, Jr.

Calvin “Roy” Stevens, Jr., age 74, of Savannah passed away Saturday, April 17, 2021.
Mr. Stevens was born on February 17, 1947 in Savannah, GA. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving honorably during the Vietnam War. Following his military tenure he began his career with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier, ultimately retiring after many years of service as a supervisor. Roy was active with the Coffee Bluff Marine Rescue Squadron, was an avid golfer, and enjoyed fishing.
Mr. Stevens was preceded in death by his father, Calvin Roy Stevens; and his sisters, Linda Stevens and Patricia DuFour. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Joyce Stevens; daughters, Melissa Stevens Byrd (Lonnie) and Kimberly Stevens Scott; mother, Ella T. Stevens; and grandchildren, Noah Scott, Logan Byrd, and Brianna Scott.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, April 20, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, KS 66675-8516 or to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
