Mr. Burnly (Burney) Roberts, 85 entered into eternal rest peacefully at his resident surrounded by his loving family members and caregiver Kimetra (Kim) Adams on Monday March 31, 2014.
Mr. Burney was born in Savannah, GA on February 22, 1929 to the late Allen and Florence Roberts (Robbins). He attended Woodville High School in Chatham County. He loved baseball and he was a true Atlanta baseball fan.
He accepted the Lord Jesus as his Savor at a young age. He was baptized at Mt. Zion United Methodist Church in 1985 under the leadership of Rev. Frank A. Jenkins, where he served on the usher board. He met the Love of his life and took her as his wife where they have been joined now for over 40years. He worked for Atlantic Meat Company for many years. After retirement, he worked for Senior Citizens, Inc. on Bull St for four years before he became ill.  He was well loved by many.

He was also preceded in death by his son Timothy Bernard Roberts, two brothers, and two sisters..

Survivors: Loving Wife Martha Roberts, Daugthers: Betty (Harold) Grant of Savannah, Carolyn (Lawrence)Roberts-Bromer of Tampa, Fl, Barbara (Junior)White-Smith, Retha Wright of Savannah    Sons: Bobby Brannen, Sr., Daniel Brannen , adopted son Jahman Keith(Tabatha) Roberts, Sr., all of Savannah. Brothers: Thomas Robbins, Herbert Robbins. Sister: Dorothy Ware, all of Savannah.                         Brother- in-Laws: Thomas Brannen, Lester Brannen, Sister-in-Laws: Louise Brannen-Pridgen, Beverly Brannen all of Savannah. He also leaves behind 16 Grand-children, 24 Great Grand-children and 1 Great-Great Grand-child. A host of Nephews, Nieces, Cousins, Family and Friends.
