Burnard C. “Mr. B” Exley, age 80, passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020.
Mr. Exley was born on August 30, 1940 in Springfield, GA, the son of the late Angus and Ernestine Exley. He was a graduate of Savannah High School and after graduating served with the United States Navy from 1958 – 1961. Following his military tenure he began working with Steel Erectors, Inc. and after 24 years of service continued working with MacAljon, Inc., retiring after 35 years of service. He was a longtime member of Asbury United Methodist Church and Aldersgate United Methodist Church where he served as the Youth Director and for the last 25 years was a member of Richmond Hill Presbyterian Church where he was an Elder. He was a member of the Lions Club of Richmond Hill where he served as Chaplain. Outside of work and civic involvement he enjoyed hunting and fishing.
Mr. Exley is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Candice Exley; daughters, Melodie Exley Sheppard (Danny) and Melinda Exley; brother, Royce B. Exley (Erolyn); granddaughters, Allison and Jennifer; 2 nieces; 1 great niece; and 1 great nephew.
A graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 29, 2020 at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
