Ralph W. Gresham "Bud", 75, of Garden City, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.Ralph W. Gresham "Bud", 75, Garden City, Georgia passed away Saturday, June 16, 2018 at the Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, Florida.
A native of Manchester, Georgia, Bud was the son of the late Ralph O. and Esther Bowen Gresham. A US Army Veteran, he was retired from Stokes Contracting.
Bud was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City where he was an ordained Deacon. He was a Sheet Metal Mechanic, and taught the Sheet Metal Journeyman Class for many years at Savannah Technical College. He was a member of the American Legion, VWF and Sheet Metal Workers Local Union #85.
Bud and Julie have been Foster Parents for more than 20 years and during the past 10 years all the children have been special needs.
He was preceded in death by his son, Robert "Robbie" Gresham.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Julie Swann Gresham; son, Eddie Gresham; his beloved God son, Jacob A. Kersey; brother, Wayne T. Gresham; other family and many friends.
The family will gather at the funeral home Wednesday, June 20, 2018 from 4:30 pm to 5:30 pm, with Services beginning at 5:30 pm in the Chapel of the funeral home with Rev. Larry Speir officiating.
Interment will be 1:30 pm Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Meriwether Memory Gardens in Manchester, Georgia.
