Brenda Dorsey Herring

Brenda Jo-Ann Dorsey Herring, 62, of Savannah, Ga., died Sunday, Dec. 27, 2015 at Candler Hospital, after a short illness.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George M. Dorsey and Evelyn Nesbitt Strickland Dorsey, and a sister, Ann Dorsey Hufton.
Brenda was born in Savannah, Ga., and was a graduate of Savannah High School, Class of 1971.
She was a member of The Sanctuary, where she had served as an Executive Secretary for the past 25 years.
She is survived by her husband, Leo Quincey "Buddy" Herring, Jr., of Savannah, Ga; 2 sons, George Michael Herring (Barbara) of Aurora, Colorado; and Leo Quincey Herring, III of Savannah, Ga; 2 daughters, Egelyn Louise "Lyn" Herring, and Brenda Lee Herring, both of Savannah, Ga; mother in law, Clyde Lucille Herring, of Savannah, Ga; 2 sisters, Nancy Hillis (Don) of Savannah, Ga; and Marie D. Walker (Bennett) of Claxton, Ga; 4 grandchildren, Jesdsica Herring, Megan Herring, Justin Herring, and Annie Laura Herring.
Visitation: 5 - 7 p.m. Friday, Jan. 1, 2016 at The Sanctuary.
Funeral Services: 7 p.m. Friday, Jan 1., 2016, at The Sanctuary, with Rev. Larry McDaniel and Rev. Todd McDaniel, officiating.
Interment will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Jan 2, 2016, at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
