Bounmy Phimphone

February 26, 1982 — August 24, 2020

Bounmy Phimphone was born on February 26, 1982 to Supee and Bounyehang Phimphone. On August 24, 2020, Bounmy gained his angel wings. Bounmy is remembered for his infectious smile and his endless love for family.

Bounmy had many hobbies including cooking, grilling, researching topics of interest, restoring cars, and being out on his boat. He was skilled in many areas but had a knack for automobile repair and restoration. Bounmy attended Savannah Technical College and graduated with an education in Automotive Technology. He received a second degree in Auto Body Collision and Repair. Bounmy received special training and certifications to further enhance his career. He was dedicated to the field and spent innumerable hours developing and perfecting his skills as a technician. His goal was to open a mechanic shop of his own. He had planned to incorporate auto body and collision into the business as well.

Left to cherish his memory are his father, Supee Phimphone, of Savannah, Ga. and his mother, Bounyehang Phimphone, of Savannah, Ga. He also leaves behind two brothers to carry on his memory: Mr. Somsak Phimphone and Mr. Michael Phimphone. Bounmy has two sisters-in-law, Daysha Phimphone (wife of Somsak) and Tiffany Phimphone (wife of Michael). Also left to cherish Bounmy’s memory is a special friend of the family, Mr. Patrick Lai-Fang of Beaufort, South Carolina. Bounmy was a loving uncle to three nieces: Oshja Hester, Starla Phimphone, Myiah Phimphone, and three nephews: Jason Fox, Evan Phimphone, and Ayden Phimphone. Bounmy also leaves behind a best friend, Richard Smith, of Savannah, Ga. Bounmy had a special dog, Jubee, who would often be seen out on the ocean with family and friends. He had an insatiable love for the ocean and would spend countless hours out on his boat with friends and family.

Bounmy has made many friends throughout his journey with us. Everyone loved him for his warm spirit and his willingness to help others. Bounmy made great sacrifices to help people and he did so without complaint. He will be sincerely missed on this side and we are all trusting that we will meet again. Bounmy’s memory lies in the hearts of many and he will forever live through us all.
