Bobby Thomas Strickland, 65, of Guyton GA passed away Thursday, October 19, 2023 at his home.
Bobby was born on June 7, 1958 in Columbus, Ohio and he was the son of the late Thomas Jesse Strickland and the late Rita Nesmith Strickland.
He served in the United States Air Force and dedicated 42 years to Gulfstream Aerospace.
Bobby could be rough around the edges but had a heart of gold, always donating and helping others wishing for nothing in return and usually anonymously. Bobby loved being outdoors. He was always outside, with family and friends that knew him no matter what the weather was, you would see him with just shorts and his favorite flip flops. If you saw him outside he’d be gardening anything you can think of, grilling, and even feeding the wild birds and turkeys in his yard. He enjoyed visiting Jekyll Island and Las Vegas where he married his loving wife of many years in 2018.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Faye Strickland and her daughter, Angela “Angie” Lockner, children, Joseph “Joe” Strickland and Lyndsey Strickland, brothers, Gary Strickland and Jimmy Parker, grandchildren, Rebecca Herrin who lived with them to help with anything they needed, Victoria Webb, Memphis Webb, Carlee Hodges, Lealond “Leaman” Hodges, Robert “Little-Bit” Lockner, Dallas Lockner, Nicholas Lockner, Kenneth Lockner, nieces and nephews and other family and friends.
He will be missed and cherished in our heart till we meet again.
