Bobby C. Cowart "Big Daddy", 88, of Pooler passed away Friday, June 3, 2022 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
Born in Collins, Georgia, he was the son of the late Kibbie Cowart and the late Claudia Powell Cowart.
Bobby was a member of Pooler First Baptist Church where he had served as a Deacon, was a member of the Harvest Sunday School Class and he was retired for The International Brotherhood of Boilermakers Local #26.
He was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Sybil Whitaker Cowart, daughters, Joyce, Bev, Monnie, brothers, Jerry, Keith, Charles and Harvey.
Survivors include his wife, Janice Cowart, son, Randall McLeod, brothers, Larry, Kibbie, Jr., sister, Sheila James, 4 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 7, 2022 at the Pooler First Baptist Church with funeral service beginning at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Bryan Parrish officiating. Burial will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Ferguson Cemetery in Higgston, GA.
In lieu of flowers donations are asked to be made to the Monica Ergle Scholarship Fund at Pooler First Baptist Church.
