Bobbie Christine Nesmith, age 82, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, January 30, 2024.
Mrs. Nesmith was born on March 17, 1941 in Sylvania to the late John Grady Williams and the late Lois Uwreather Mock Williams. Bobbie was a homemaker who also did volunteer work at Eli Whitney Elementary School until the school was eventually shut down. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, William Lonnie Nesmith; a daughter Debra Faye Nesmith, and a son in law Charles (Charlie) Ruiz. She was also the last one to go out of 11 siblings.
Survivors include her daughter's Julie Ruiz of Savannah, Judy Hall (Doug) of Effingham, Jeri Sapp (Keith) of Savannah, and Amber Nesmith (Lewis) of Effingham. Her grandchildren include James, Brian, Brandon, Sylena, Amanda, John, Andrea, Melanie, Jacob, Aaliyah, Kaydence, and Jairus.
