Beverly Willoughby Klenke

Beverly Willoughby Klenke, age 63, passed away Wednesday, February 9, 2022 at home.

Mrs. Klenke was born on January 18, 1959 in San Antonio, TX, the daughter of the late Doris Norton Willoughby and John Daniel Willoughby, Sr. She was a 1977 graduate of Savannah Christian Preparatory School. She was a member of Bonnybridge Baptist Church. Beverly was a member of Savannah Assembly #1, Order of Rainbow for Girls where she was a Past Worthy Advisor, later serving as the Mother Advisor and Chairman of the Board. She was a member of Laurel Chapter No. 51, O.E.S. where she was a Past Worthy Matron and was the 2010-2011 Worthy Grand Matron of the Grand Chapter of Georgia Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of Georgia Court No. 1, Order of the Amaranth where she was a Past Royal Matron and was the 2021 – 2022 Grand Royal Matron of the Grand Court of Georgia, Order of the Amaranth.

Mrs. Klenke is survived by her loving husband of 42 years, Richard F. “Rick” Klenke, Sr.; son, Richard F. “Ricky” Klenke, Jr.; daughter, Laura Jean Martin (Anthony); brothers, John D. Willoughby Jr. (Helen) and Ronald N. Willoughby; sister, Donna W. Olsen (Kurt); 8 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

The family will be receiving friends from 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. followed by a funeral service at 5:00 p.m., Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. An Order of Eastern Star and Amaranth funeral service will be held.

In lieu of flowers, remembrances may be made to Savannah Assembly #1, I.O.R.G. or to the Georgia Diabetes Research Foundation, Inc. (GDRF). Both remembrances can be mailed to 105 S. Effingham Plantation Drive, Guyton, GA 31312.
