Our Moma, Betty Tilton Anderson Smith 93, of Garden City, GA and Ridge Haven, NC went to be with our Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 28,2019.
She was born November 7,1925 in Savannah, GA. She was the owner of the Big Little Store in Port Wentworth, GA and later Mack's 5 &10 in Savannah, GA. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Garden City and along with her husband Wallace were active leaders of the youth (Training Union in the 60's).
She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Ruth Tilton; her husband, Wallace Roy Anderson Sr.; her sister, Geane Baker; nephews, Russ Baker, Jimmy Anderson, and also preceded by Dalton Smith.
She is survived by her children, Cathie A Van Wechel and her husband Steve, Wallace Roy Anderson and his wife, Paige; grandchildren, Leigh Hinson (Al), Mark Van Wechel (Kim), Katie Nakagawa (Masato), Kendi Rainwater (Nate), Roy Anderson (Haley) and Cameron Anderson (Gina); great grandchildren, Nicolas Trist, Skylar Van Wechel, EllaKate and Campbell Hinson, Koji and Kazu Nakagawa; nephews, Don and Bobby Youmans; niece, Charlene Kirkland.
The visitation will be held from 10:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m, followed by a service beginning at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, September 7, 2019 in the Chapel of the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
In lieu of flowers Memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Garden City, GA . 35 Nelson Ave, Garden City, GA 31408.
