Betty Jean Padgett

Betty Jean Padgett, 84, passed away peacefully, Sunday, July 18, 2021.

Betty was born in Sylvania, GA on March 29, 1937 to the late Herbert Sasser and Irene Mathis. Betty Padgett lived most of her life in Savannah, graduating from Commercial High School.

Betty was an excellent homemaker who was known for her delicious southern cooking. Mrs. Betty Jean Padgett was a member of New Providence Baptist Church in Guyton, GA.

Betty is survived by her sister Loretta Brower; three sons, Buddy Jr. (Susie), Barry, and Guy Padgett; and 9 grandchildren, Brett, Cameron, Cody (Julianne), Amber, Hunter, Travis (Sarah), Shelby, Amanda, and Casey (Kiersti). She enjoyed her grandchildren often attending their many sporting events throughout the years. She is also survived by several great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Buddy Padgett Sr..

A funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Friday, July 23, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. The family will be receiving friends from 11:00 a.m. unil the time of the service at the funeral home.

Burial will follow the funeral service at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, 315 Greenwich Rd, Savannah, GA 31404.
