Betty Jean was born on August 15, 1929, daughter to Earl and Mildred Durden, and sister to Shirley Minick, Earl Durden Jr., and Brenda Mossman.

She was the Telephone Chairman for the Christian Women’s Club for many years. Also, a member of the Bethlehem Chapter #269, Order of Eastern Star.

Betty loved being with her family, shopping, and lunches with friends. She spent a lot of her time cooking and gardening in her backyard. She was always ready to make a new friend and greeted everyone with a smile. Everyone who knew her loved her. She will be greatly missed by so many.

Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with a private funeral service.

In lieu of flowers, Betty’s family would prefer a donation to her church, Calvary Baptist Temple in her name.
