Betty Ann Lang, age 78, of Savannah passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at home.
Mrs. Lang was born on September 9, 1942 in Savannah and was a graduate of Jenkins High School. She worked as a bus driver for Bible Baptist School and Savannah Christian Preparatory School, where she also worked in the lunchroom. She ultimately retired from Baker’s Pride Bakery in 2016 after working as a baker for 26 years with Family and Friends. She was a longtime member of Montgomery Presbyterian Church and was a former member of the Fraternal Order of the Eagles and the Loyal Order of the Moose. She enjoyed bowling, softball, playing bingo, and watching the Atlanta Braves, but most of all she loved being with her family and grandchildren.
Mrs. Lang was preceded in death by her loving husband of 54 years, Alfred Ray Lang; her mother, Annie Mae Braddy; and sister, Patricia Braddy. She is survived by her sons, Alfred Ray Lang, II (Trisha), Michael Thomas Lang (Pam), and Russell Shelby Lang (Melissa); sister, Vivian Gladys Floyd (Ralph Neely); grandchildren, Joshua Lang, Brittany Lang Kuhaupt (Zech), Nicholas Lang, Andrew Lang, Nathan Lang, Angel Mustafa (Nidal), Pamela Mashia (Barry), and Annie Hall (Scott); and several nieces, nephews and great grands.
The family will be receiving friends from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m., Friday, March 5, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 6, 2021 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel with burial following at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
