Beatrice Jordan

March 18, 1932 — May 12, 2023

Beatrice "Bea" Miller Jordan went to her Heavenly Home on May 12, 2023 with her family by her side. She was born on March 18, 1932 to Fred Miller and Fannie Mae Finch Miller in Portal, GA.

She moved to Savannah at age of 16 where she was a waitress at the Hamburger House owned by the Durdens. That is where she met the love of her life. She married Wiley "Ben" Jordan on June 23rd, 1951.

Bea began her career with the American Cancer Society and retired after 34 years. She was responsible for door to door campaigns and other fund raising for several counties. She became a source of support for patients and their families.

Bea was a loving and caring wife, mama and "Mema" who gave selflessly to her Lord, family and friends. She was so proud of her children, grandchildren and great granddaughters. Her family and friends were a highlight to her life. She was a great cook. Sunday dinners were the best and Christmas time brought the biggest array of desserts you could want.

Bea was a member of Bible Baptist Church. She loved her pastors. She would tell everyone about their visits. She was a former member of Riverside Baptist and Calvary Baptist Temple.

Bea is preceded in death by her parents, husband Ben Jordan and brothers Freddie Miller and Floyd Miller. She is survived by her daughter Linda Jordan Burnsed, son Steve Jordan (Tammy). Grandchildren Suzanne Bridges (Billy), Emily Yearwood (Shane), Megan Daring (Zach), Stephen Jordan and Mae Laurine. Great grandchildren Riley Yearwood, Lauren Daring and Maddox and Eloise Fincher. A special Sister in Law Faye Miller, nephew Gregg Miller (Kee) and great nephews Jerrod Miller and Jason Miller (Kayla) and Graham. Nieces Sheryl Wilkerson (lan), Jody Glawson and Jessica Glawson all of Macon GA. Thank you to Ola who was her special friend and caregiver.

We would like to thank our family and friends who have supported us, prayed for us and loved us through this journey. Happy Mother's Day we love you.
