Beatrice Belle Wallace Watson Martin, Bea, Aunt Bea or Miss Bea, as she was affectionately known passed away on March 23 just days after her 97th birthday, under the care of Hospice Savannah at Riverview Health & Rehabilitation.
Bea was born on March 2, 1920, in Fountain Hill, Pa., to the late Sarah Elizabeth Randler and John Truman Wallace.
She was nurtured in Stevens School in Fountain Hill. Bea was a life member of Sertoma International, VFW Auxiliary 5625, Chiefland, Fla and Charter member USS FDR Auxiliary. Bea was the Historian for the Four Stack APO's, The famed Green Dragons Destroyers sailors of World War II. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
Bea was predeceased by her husbands, Samuel Watson and Emil (Marty) Martin, parents, sisters, Madeline Kennedy, Sarah Virginia Shaffer, Eleanor Pauline Peterson and brother John (Jack) Truman Wallace II.
Bea is survived by many nieces and nephews and Sister-in-law Evie Wallace of Dowling Park, Fl. Also surviving are her very loving care givers, LeRoyce Brown & her children, Kellie Jernigan & Mike Brown and by Judy Hawkins and her late husband Teddy and many lifelong friends.
LeRoyce & Judy would like to thank Hospice Savannah and the staff of Riverview for the loving care they gave Bea. She will be truly missed by many.
