Barbara Ann Edwards Beasley Taylor, 84, went to be with the Lord on April 30, 2017.
She was born in the old Telfair hospital on November 15, 1932, to parents Ralph Henry and Netherae Shannon Edwards. She graduated from Commercial High School in 1950.
In 1955, she married Miles (Mickey) Carlton Beasley. They had two sons. After the death of Mickey, she married Thomas (Tommy) Jackson Taylor. Tommy brought four daughters into her life to love. She is preceded in death by her step daughter Jerris Taylor Tyson and sisters Dru Bazemore, Fran Edwards and a brother Jimmy Edwards
Barbara received the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior in the spring of 1958. She attended the Savannah Gospel Chapel for 22 years, serving her church with her husband, showing loving hospitality to many families, preachers and missionaries. She loved children and taught Sunday School, Bible Club, organized and directed Christmas programs for years. She longed to see children and adults come to know the Lord, being such a generous person she was always giving which gave her pleasure. After moving near Midway, Georgia, she attended Faith Bible Chapel located on the beautiful Marshview Bible Camp.
She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Thomas Taylor, two sons, Stephen Carlton Beasley and Gordon Ralph Beasley, three stepdaughters, Sherry Marie Johansen, Norma Taylor and Suzette Taylor, a sister, Mary Sandra Williams (Brooks), twelve grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by many nieces, nephews and other family.
The family will receive friends at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home - Hubert C. Baker Chapel, Tuesday, May 2, 2017 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Funeral Services will be Wednesday, April 3, 2017 at 11 am at Faith Bible Chapel, Midway, Georgia. Burial will be in Greenwich Cemetery.
