Bruce Eric Widener, 49, of Brooklet, Georgia died Saturday, September 1, 2018 resulting from an automobile accident in Mississippi.
A native of Savannah, Georgia Eric is the son of the late Joan Annette Zorn Widener and the late Bengy Eugene Widener.
Eric was raised in Jacksonville, Florida, lived most of his adult life in Hattiesburg, Mississippi before moving back to Savannah, Georgia in 2009. He was the owner and operator of Discount Muffler and Brake Shop in Garden City, Georgia.
He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church and was a Deacon. Eric loved the outdoors, dirt track racing, fishing, and most of all his wife and sons.
Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Trina Renee Banister Widener; sons, Brian Widener, Ryan Banister, Bengy Widener, Brannon Widener, Erroll Widener; three sisters, Diane Widener Lay (Eddie), Wanda Widener Smith, Lisa Widener Dickerson; three brothers, Eddie Widener (Shelia), Erroll Widener (Vanessa), David Widener; step mother, Margina Widener; stepsisters, Tammy Schlegel and Charleesa Richards (Mark); stepbrother, Wendell Barclay (Joni); several nieces, nephews, other family and friends. A Memorial Service will be 1 - 3 pm Saturday September 15, 2018 at Faulkville Baptist Church Faulkville, Georgia.
