Ayden Chase Griffin, age 16, of Savannah passed away Tuesday, February 27, 2024.
Ayden was born in Savannah on September 12, 2007. He was a Gifted Student at Georgetown K-8, Heard Elementary and The STEM Academy. Ayden was an AP and Honors student at Savannah Arts Academy in the theater program and was recently accepted into the dance program. Ayden was active with the Madeleine Walker Ballet Dance Studio and Savannah Children’s Theatre. He earned his brown belt in taekwondo practicing with Robinson’s Taekwondo. Ayden loved to dance and was a passionate Allstar Cheerleader for Cheer Savannah Allstars.
Ayden is survived by his mother, Kelly Kessinger; sister, Makayla Griffin; brother, Kylan Kessinger; maternal grandparents, Michael Kessinger and Cynthia Keene; great grandmother, Peggy Wadham; additional grandparents, Jan Kessinger, John Keene, Jamie DiNicola, Heather DiNicola, and Joseph DiNicola; uncle, Lou DiNicola; "cousin/aunt", Isabella DiNicola; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, dear friends, and his loyal cheer family.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Wednesday, March 6, 2024 beginning at 3:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
