Arthur "Art" Lee Dupree Mensing, 67, of Savannah passed away Wednesday, April 14, 2021 at his home.
Art was a Registered Nurse who had a passion for playing his guitar and writing music for those he loved. Before becoming disabled, he took great joy in working with children at Coastal Harbor Mental Health Facility, formerly known as Charter. In his early years, he was one of the very first paramedics in Georgia and loved sharing stories of those experiences with his grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Jewel Cloud, his father, Chuck Dupree, his brother, Wallace Smith, his sister, June Shearin and the mother of his children, whom he loved dearly until the end, Pamela Griffin.
He is survived by his children, Angela Michelle Kaiser (Russell), Tami Colleen Miller (James), Amanda Leigh Mensing (Bobby), Amy Rene' Dupree Mensing (Michael), James Benjamin Arthur Mensing (Sarah), brothers, Charles and Mike Mensing, sisters, Teresa Glisson, Cheri Powell, Mindy Huffman and Melissa Bannister, 17 grandchildren, Jonathan, Brittany, Trey, Timothy, Devyn, Nicholas, Austin, Zachary, Lachlan, Krista, Kristopher, Kolton, Georgia, Michael, Olivia and James Jr., 17 great-grandchildren, Kaelyn, Gibson, Collin, Emilia, Isabella, Elias, Delilah, Wyatt, Zach, Willow, William, Arianna, Carson, Ryleigh, Lola, and Ayvah Among, many other family and friends
The family will receive friends Monday, April 19, 2021 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel from 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home Chapel.
