Annie Ruth Douglas Reese, "Miss Annie", age 76, of Savannah, passed away Tuesday, November 25th, 2014 at Candler Hospital.
A native of Waynesboro, she was the daughter of Willie Douglas, Sr. and Murrel Williams Douglas.
Mrs. Reese worked with the Kroger Company as a cook for 22 years.
Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Henry Lee Reese, Sr., she leaves to cherish her memory, two daughters, Deborah Ann (George) Gibbs and Gwendolyn Sue (Curtis) Fagan; a brother, Willie (Louise) Douglas, Jr., four sisters, Barbara J. Johnson, Mary A. Boney, Julia (Deon) Groover, and Judy A. Smalls; nine grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, December 4th from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Bonaventure Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, December 5th, at 11:00 am in Resurrection of Our Lord Catholic Church, with interment to follow at Magnolia Memorial Park in Savannah.
