Annie R. Nease Brusie, passed away peacefully in her home on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at the age of 92. She was born in Savannah, Ga, August 30, 1926.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert F. Nease and Nettie Kessler Nease; her brothers, Sergeant C. M. "Donald" Nease, Major Robert F. Nease, Jr., and Harold Ray Nease; and her sisters, Mildred Nease Sly and Dorothy Nease Lyon.
She is survived by her 2 sons, Ronnie Cercone of Lemon Cove, Ca; George Cercone of Alpine, Fl; 2 grandchildren in Cocoa Beach, Fl; George Cercone and Kim Cercone; 1 daughter, Susie Brusie Padgett (Buddy); 3 grandsons, Bret, Cameron and Cody Padgett (Julianne) of Savannah; her sister, Mary Nease Beall; and several nieces and nephews.
Annie grew up in Savannah until she graduated from Commercial High School in 1945 when she married and moved to Miami, Florida to raise her 3 children. They enjoyed family picnics and Beach time for many years.
After raising her children, she moved to Myrtle Beach, S.C., and enjoyed the next 30 years of her retirement years doing fun things like dancing, playing the Piano for her friends and family, (boy she loved an audience), writing and going to the beach.
She also loved working part time at many of the Entertainment Theaters in the Community. Her favorite had to be the Legends in Concert.
She also made many new and dear friends who she left behind; Candy, Peggy, Paula, Vivian, Vicky and her lifelong friend, Jean Stewart.
Graveside Services: will be held on Thursday, November 1, 2018 at 11:30 a.m. at Hillcrest Abbey East Memorial Park, 1600 Wheaton Street, Savannah, Ga 31404.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest that memorial donations be made to the Humane Society for Greater Savannah, 7215 Sallie Mood Drive, Savannah, Ga 31406.
