Annie Elizabeth Brost Vandenhouten, 40, of Rincon, Georgia passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
A native of Chatham County, Georgia, later relocating to Effingham County, GA Annie was the daughter of Robert E. Brost and the late Rita Ann Douberly Brost.
Annie was beautiful both inside and out. She was audacious, bold, determined, and never let anything stand in her way. Annie was dedicated to her family and adored her two children; Robert Urijah Brazell and Kaitlyn Jane “KJ” Vandenhouten. Watching Urijah play ball was one of her greatest joys. Where ever Annie was Kaitlyn Jane followed too, Annie would always affectionately refer to KJ as her mini-me, personality and all. She loved to cook and loved her Jaguar Football. She always went above and beyond to help anyone in need and was a caring and loyal friend to many. She loved her career as a Paralegal and previously worked for Attorney, Tyler Love.
She was preceded in death by her adoring mother, Rita Ann Douberly Brost; a sister, Abby Michelle Brost; grandparents, William Raeford "Ray" and Pauline "Polly" Ethyl Stanley Brost and Oliver Henry, Jr. and Vera Douberly; great uncle, Jack Arden Brost; Aunt and Uncle James Allen and Linda Gail Brost Fish.
Survivors include her son, Robert Urijah Brazell; daughter, Kaitlyn Jane Vandenhouten; husband, Bryan Vandenhouten, father, Robert "Bobby" E. Brost; sister, Ashley M. Brost; brother, Robert Michael Brost; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Visitation: 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 15, 2022 at the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Funeral Service: 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 16, 2022 in the Chapel of the Baker McCullough Funeral Home Garden City Chapel.
Burial: Hillcrest Abbey East Memorial Park Cemetery.
