Annie Mckenzie Allen

Annie Daphene Spell McKenzie Allen, 94, of Metter, Ga., died Monday, October 12, 2015 at Azalea Health and Rehab in Metter, Ga. She was born July 14, 1921, in Manassas, Georgia to the late Augustus Green Spell and Annie Strong Jones Spell. Her family lived in the rural areas of Toombs, Tattnall, and Bryan Counties. She was also predeceased by her sisters, Nan S. Lane, Obie Kight, Jessie Kennedy, and Marye White, and her brothers, James Spell, Watson Spell, Sam Jones Spell, James Kunkel Spell, Silas Johnson Spell, Clifford Spell, and A. G. Spell, Jr. She is survived by 2 daughters, Sara Elizabeth Harvin, and Patricia Annelle Blackburn, sister in law, Eva Spell, 2 sons, Johnny A. McKenzie (Susan), and James Otis McKenzie, Jr., 22 grandchildren, and 16 great grandchildren. Visitation: 11:30 a.m. Friday - 1 p.m. in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Funeral Services at 1 p.m. in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Robert "Buddy" McKenzie, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Active pallbearers will be: Patrick Harrelson, Powell Harrelson, Larry Spell, Johnny Spell, Gary Walker and Wesley Webb. Honorary pallbearers will be, Randy Bowen, Paul Spell, and Doug Oglesby. Fairhaven Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
