Ms. Annette Meeks, age 79, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2020 in Snellville, GA.
Ms. Meeks was born on September 22, 1940 in Savannah, GA, the daughter of the late Alma and Howard Watts, Sr. She was a graduate of Alfred E. Beach High School and continued her formal education at South College. After earning her degree as a Certified Nursing Assistant, she practiced as a CNA for many years in Savannah until retiring. She was a longtime member of St. Paul CME Church and enjoyed spending time with her family.
Ms. Meeks was preceded in death by her brother, Howard Watts Jr. and her twin sister, Alma Watts. She is survived by her children, Ellis Meeks II (Ernestine), Angilita Meeks, Herman Meeks (Pamela), Edwin Meeks, and Barbara Noble; grandchildren, Charles, Shavonda, Shamon, Kevin, Kimmelle, Jamel, Tyres, Shacorya, Brionna, Aaliyah, Khalil, and Shantel; as well as 15 great-grandchildren.
A drive-thru viewing will be held from 4:00 – 6:00 p.m., Friday, May 8, 2020 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406. The family will be live streaming with guests during the viewing hours.
A private graveside service will take place at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Hillcrest West Cemetery, Dean Forest Road, Savannah.
