She graduated from Savannah High in 1957 and completed 2 years of business school.

Ann worked as a nursery school teacher, at The Gingerbread House, with her good friend Carol Giles. After 11 years, she began working at The Village Craftsmen, on River Street, selling her pottery from which she retired in 2011.. She spent later years volunteering at the St. Thomas Thrift Store.
