Anita Newport Parrish, 86, of Savannah, died July 12, 2016 at St. Joseph's Hospital.
She was born in Harveyton, Kentucky, to the late Adna F. Newport and Rosalyn Elmeta Manning Newport.
She was retired from Branigar Organization, where she was a Manager in the Marketing Information Systems Department.
She was a member of Southside Assembly of God, attended Wednesday night bible study, Monday night prayer service, and participated in Joy fellowship.
She previously attended Garden City Church of God and Coastal Cathedral, and over the years she taught Sunday School and sang Alto in the Choir, and participated in various Adult Fellowship Groups.
She is survived by her husband, L.D. Parrish, Savannah, Ga; 2 daughters, Valerie Parrish Moore (Steve), Savannah, Ga; Rosalyn Parrish Sutton (Mike) of Rock Hill, S.C.; brother, Don Newport, (Marlene), Rock Hill, SC; 2 sisters, Norma Dickson, Atlanta, Ga; and Marilyn Hind (Tom), of Spartanburg, SC; 4 grandchildren, Nicholas Sutton (Ashley), Meredith Proctor (Chris), Tyler Moore (Heather), and Bethany Moore; 5 great grandchildren, Emma Proctor, Abigail Sutton, Lydia Moore, Isabelle Sutton, and Elizabeth Proctor.
Visitation: 11 a.m. - 1 p.m. Saturday, at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hubert C. Baker Chapel.
Funeral Services: 1 p.m. Saturday in the Hubert C. Baker Chapel, with Rev. Jack Moon, Dr. Hugo Hammond, and Rev. Bill Fowler, officiating.
Interment will be Private.
Remembrances: Southside Assembly of God.
