Angela Mercedes Egan, 82, of Savannah, died Tuesday, August 14, 2018 at Hospice Savannah.
She was born in Havana, Cuba, and was retired from Aetna Insurance Company, where she served as a Claims Analyst.
She was a Communicant of St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, where she was a Eucharistic Minister, and a member of the Sanctuary Choir. She was President of the Women's Council along with numerous associations and groups involved with St Frances Cabrini for many years.
She and her husband organized the St. Frances Cabrini "Prime Timers" Group for 11 years.
She is survived by her husband, Jerome "Jerry" C. Egan, Savannah, Ga; 4 Step-sons, Michael, Mark, James, and Keith Egan. Also 4 daughters, Maria Kaack, Mercedes Machette, Maria Schneider, and Victoria Night. She is also survived by 23 Grand-children and 4 Great Grandchildren.
There will be a visitation from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm with a Rosary at 7:00 pm on Thursday August 16 2018 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home ( Hubert C Baker Chapel). Funeral Mass will be Friday 11:00 am at St. Frances Cabrini. The committal Service will be on Saturday at 1:00 pm at Arlington Memorial Park in Sandy Springs Georgia. Father Gabe Cummings will be officiating the service.
