September 7, 2018 at the age of 87, Eunice Hazeline Thompson, widow of Bill Thompson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior at 4:51 p.m. Mrs. Thompson was surrounded by family in Landmark Hospital located in Savannah, Georgia at the time of her death and peacefully crossed over to the other side. She is survived by her two sons: John C. O'Rourke (Debbie) of Jupiter, Florida, Ron O'Rourke (Denise) of Rincon, Georgia, and her two daughters: Nancy O'Rourke (Tony) of Harvest, Alabama, and Dee Mitchell (John) of Pensacola, Florida; 6 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; and her beloved dog, "Baby" Ginger Thompson.Known as Angel to most, Mrs. Thompson was known as Mom, Nana, and Grandma to her family.
While always looking her best, she lived a life full of fun and adventure to include camping, fishing, scuba diving and even driving race cars in the past. She loved crafts of any kind, puzzles, reading and cooking, but what she loved most was spending time with her family and friends.
Angel's favorite saying to those she loved was "I love you more", but to us we always insisted it was us who loved her more! She will be dearly missed.....
There will be a celebration of Angel's life at Baker McCullough Funeral Home on Highway 80, Garden City, GA Saturday, September 15th from 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.
