Andrew (Andy) Steve Pashales, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend passed into the hands of our Lord on May 6 th 2023 at the age of 85. Andy was a remarkable man whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of those all fortunate to know him.
Andrew was born on September 17 th , 1937 in Panama City, Panama. He was a true American Hero and a beloved member of our community. Andrew courageously served our nation as a Vietnam veteran, demonstrating unwavering bravery and selflessness throughout his military service. He was a recipient of the Bronze Star Medal which was awarded to him for heroic achievement.
After his honorable discharge from the military, Andrew returned home to Savannah, GA and continued his life as a devoted husband, father, and friend. Andrew (Andy to his friends) always had a joke for everyone who entered his home, much like his niece Helen who predeceased him. An educated man who could turn a screwdriver with the best of them.
Andy is survived by his wife, Dimitra, daughter Sofia, son-in-law Kurt, and grandsons Austin and Kaleb. Not to mention, he was Lulu’s favorite person and constant shadow. Lulu was his four-legged fur-baby and they were best friends. One of Andy’s most memorable quotes was “Want a friend, get a Dog!”. The memories of Andrew’s strength, humor, and unwavering love will forever be cherished by those fortunate enough to know him.
As we bid farewell to his soul, let us remember the sacrifices Andrew Pashales made to secure the freedoms we enjoy today. May he find eternal peace, reunited with fellow comrades and family in arms who have gone before him. We are forever grateful for his service.
