Pooler- Allison W. Hartley, 52, passed away on Wednesday, March 29, 2017.

She was born on July 30, 1964 in Savannah, but spent most of her youth growing up in Michigan. She moved back to Savannah and graduated from Tompkins High School in 1982.

Allison worked for several years at the Savannah Pennysaver where she learned the newspaper business, and in 2000 she started Spirit Newspapers. She was a gifted and talented writer receiving self- accomplishment from her work. She used her amazing abilities as a cook to publish and share her famous recipes, and her "Allison's Corner" editorials were loved and admired by all.

Allison was a devout Christian of the Baptist faith, and often counseled people through her personal testimony.
She loved the North Carolina mountains, second only to her love for dogs, particularly Noodle and Daisy.
She was a loving, giving, unselfish, Wife, Mother, Grandmother, Daughter, Sister, and friend. She will be greatly missed.

She is survived by her husband, Steve Hartley; three daughters, Lyric Cross (Ronnie) of Pooler; Landon Aultman (Barry) of Guyton; Allary Castro of Rincon; Step-Sons Stephen, of Savannah, and Kevin (Emily) of Acworth; her Mother, Mary Dickerson Collins of Pooler; Father Billy Ray Whitley (Elizabeth) of Rincon; Sister Lacy Leamer (Rich) of Ocala, FL; Brother Lee Freyburgher of Myrtle Beach, SC; Brother Lee Whitley of Rincon (Anna); Sister Joy Padgett (Jarrod) of Guyton; Sister Darlene Stansbury of Statesboro; seven Grandchildren, Barry, Lily, Scarlet, Silas, Logan, Kaleb, and Tabitha; and numerous Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews.

She was predeceased by her Step-Dad Don Freyburgher and Brother Billy Bowman, Paternal Grandparents Willis and Sible Whitley, and Maternal Grandparents Allison and Daisy Dickerson.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home of Garden City from 6pm til 8pm.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, April 2, 2017 at 2:30pm in the chapel of the funeral home.
