Allan Gilbert Copeland

Allan Gilbert Copeland, age 81, of Savannah, GA passed away Sunday, November 13, 2022.

Mr. Copeland was born on February 2, 1941 in Tampa, FL, the son of the late Allan Fleming and Mary Thornton Vernon Copeland. He was a veteran and Bronze Star recipient of the United States Navy. Following his military tenure he had a successful career with Gulfstream Aerospace managing procedural manuals. Allan was an avid Florida Gators fan and was a season ticket holder for many years as well as being a member and Past President of the Florida Gators Club. He also enjoyed playing cards and spending time with his family.

Mr. Copeland was preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Copeland and sister, Sandra Broughton. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Copeland; daughters, Carla Bartley, Karen Casselman, Debbie Labiche, and Pam Jackson; siblings, Mary Anne Crews (James), Earl Copeland, and Cheryl Rule (Brick); brother-in-law, Terry Broughton; grandchildren, Gregory, Jacob, Shelley, Camille, Abby, Caroline and Isabel and great-grandchildren, David, Russell, Brooklyn, and Ava Grace.

Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel is assisting the family with a graveside funeral service at 2:00 p.m., Friday, December 16, 2022 at Jacksonville National Cemetery.
