Alice Elizabeth Vandenburgh

Alice Elizabeth Vandenburgh, 78, of Savannah, GA passed away April 5, 2022 at her home.
She was born Alice Elizabeth Blitch in Savannah, GA to the late Blanche Louise Christie Blitch and John Joseph Blitch.
Alice married the love of her life, Gerald L. Vandenburgh, in 1960. The two were blessed with five children. Above all, she was a wonderful mother, faithful wife, and loving grandmother. She enjoyed taking care of and spending time with her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Gerald L. Vandenburgh, Sr.; children, Mary Jane Montelongo and Gerald L. Vandenburgh, Jr.; brother, Wesley Blitch; and a sister, Rosalie Edwards.
Surviving to cherish her memory are sons, Mike Vandenburgh (Kim) and Bruce Vandenburgh; daughter, Robin Anderson; brothers, John Blitch, Jr. and Sammy Blitch; sisters, Sarah Ginn (James), Mary McGrath and Evelyn Palmer; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Sunday April 10, 2022 from 6-8pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home Hodgson Chapel 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive. Graveside services will be held Monday April 11, 2022 at 11am at Hillcrest Abbey East on Wheaton Street.
The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice Savannah, for their wonderful care of Mrs. Alice, as well as Baker McCullough Funeral Home and JP King for all their help in planning services.
