Alfred Cornelius Gray was born September 11, 1960 to the late Mr. Lawton (Sr.) and Mrs. Ora Lee Gray in Jesup, Georgia. Alfred was known as "Big Al" and "baby-boy", nicknames given by family and friends.

Alfred was a faithful and the first member of New Life International Ministries (NLIM). He was a true believer and touched many lives during his walk with God. Alfred was a true family man and when you saw him, he will always greet you with a smile.

He was an employee for the City of Savannah (Vehicle Maintenance) for 26 years until his retirement. Alfred was united in Holy Matrimony to Raffael Lynette Edwards. They were happily married for what would have been 33 years on November 14, 2017.

On July 15, 2017, God called for him to leave his earthly vessel and move up a little higher. He departed this life at approximately 6:10 am at Candler Hospital of Savannah, Georgia.

Alfred is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Evangelist Raffael L Gray of Savannah, GA; two daughters: Jacquita Gray Kennedy (Marquis) and Cora Gray both of Savannah, GA; three brothers: Lawton Gray Jr (Suzanne) of Perris, CA, Donald Gray (Sherrol) of Alameda, CA, and Ronald Gray (Angela) of Savannah, GA; four sisters: Elder Barbara LeFranc of Fayetteville, GA, Gwendolyn Mack of Tampa, FL, Pastor Maggie Mitchell and Catherine Sykes both of Savannah, GA; two adopted sisters: Elder Hattie Cobb (Lenard) of Fayetteville, NC and Deacon Stephanie Brooker (Lenion) of Savannah, GA; one sister-in-law, Calandra Edwards of Savannah, GA; one father-in-law, Albert Clark, Jr. of Savannah, GA; two uncles: William Gray (Bertha) of Waycross, GA and Emanuel Daniels of Atlanta, GA; two aunts: Lula Wright of Feeding Hill, MA and Violet Lavender of Jacksonville, FL; 6 adopted grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, church family, and friends.

The family will receive friends, Saturday, July 22 from 11am until 1pm at St. Luke's Baptist Church, 418 W. 38th St., Savannah
A funeral will be held at 1:00pm at the church following visitation.
