Mrs. Alethia Foreman was born on August 31, 1930 to the late Reid and Edith White Washington in Sylvania, Georgia.
She passed into eternal rest on December 14, 2016.
Mrs. Foreman attended the public schools of Chatham County.
At an early age, she joined Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church, where she served in the Mission Ministry and Senior Citizen Ministry.
She was joined in Holy Matrimony to the late Theodore Foreman and to this union six children were born.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Reid and Edith White Washington; siblings, Walter Washington, Aurelia Newsome, Georgia Hayes, Geneva Dixon and Reid Washington, Jr.
She leaves to mourn five daughters and one son; Latricia Foreman, Theodore Foreman, Jr., Sylvia (Marvin) Cheatham, Brenda Tilley, Phyllis (Eugene) Gilmore and Deborah Shelbey; one sister, Betty Walker. A host of grandchildren (a special grandchild, Felisha Foreman), great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to The Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church family, Eugene Gilmore, Hospice Savannah, Gentiva Hospice, the Cleveland and Norma Barnes family.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 18, 2016 from 2:00pm until 5:00pm at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, 7415 Hodgson memorial Drive, Savannah.
A Funeral will be held on Monday, December 19, 2016 at 12:00pm at Happy Home Missionary Baptist Church, 1015 E. Gwinett Street, Savannah. Interment will follow in Magnolia Memorial Gardens, Savannah.
