Akeya Chiana Sanders, age 36, of Savannah, Georgia, suffered from Protein S deficiency most of her life. She succumbed her chronic disease Sunday, July, 10 2022.
Akeya was born on August 13, 1985 in Savannah, the daughter of the late John Willie Hall and Kathy Harrell Hall. She was a graduate of Effingham High School and continued her formal education at Armstrong State University, earning her bachelor's and master's degrees in public health. While at Armstrong she became a member of Zeta Phi Beta. She worked as a manager with CIK Motorsports and recently worked in transportation with the Georgia Ports Authority. Akeya loved Jehovah and always enjoyed studying the Bible with her husband and kids.
Akeya is survived by her loving husband of 12 years, Cleave Sanders III; children, Ray’ven Calise Sanders, Cleave Sanders IV, and Kiley Isabella Sanders; sister, Akimmie Hall; brother, Charles Harrell; her special niece, Shakeya Goldwire; and a host of extended family members.
A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, July 16, 2022 at Baker McCullough Funeral Home, Hodgson Memorial Chapel, 7415 Hodgson Memorial Drive, Savannah, GA 31406.
