Adelia Edwards Padgett

Adelia Edwards Padgett, age 92, of Savannah, GA passed away on Sunday, April 3, 2022 at her niece’s home in North Carolina.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 9, 2022 at 11:00 am at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens in Savannah, GA.
Ms. Padgett was born in Savannah, GA on June 3, 1929 to the late Frank Edwin Edwards and Lucretia Foreman Edwards. Adelia graduated from Pape School and Armstrong College. She worked as a secretary for the Railroad Industry. She enjoyed gardening and dancing with her husband at social events. She was always a fun-loving person.
She is also preceded in death by her husband, Gordon Allen Padgett; a half-brother, William Foreman; two sisters, Anta Edwards Chappell and Lucretia Edwards Barnes.
She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews; great-nieces and great-nephews also survive.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Isle of Hope United Methodist Church, 412 Parkersburg Road, Savannah, GA 31406.
